Three years ago yesterday I was blessed with one of the most wonderful gifts in my life, my oldest son! Happy birthday Andres, xoxoxo Dad.
This week I felt the energy, my pants feel a little better around the waist... I'm actually excited. The scale is not my friend and actually has discouraged me though, I'm at 260 at my weigh in this morning. I know better as the scale doesn't tell the whole truth on what fat you may have burned and what muscle you have grown. That being said I meaured my belly and I am happy to say I'm at 49 1/2"! So knowing clothes feel better and this last measurement showing a loss of 3.5" to date on the belly are the positives I need to walk away with. Sundays's cheat day on my son's family birthday party consisted of Portillo's pasta, beef, cake, my wife's SUGAR COOKIES (my weakness), yummy... what a good reward. No regrets, focus and move forward. I had to run out Sat. night for a late night toy run as my son didn't get a toy at his party that he really wanted, and Walmart is 24 hrs, so I went off on my quest. It was just after midnight, technically Sunday my cheat day, and I have been craving a Wendy's Baconator... so next thing I know, you got it, I was in the late night drive thru. Do I get a double like I always had? Do I get the meal? Do I want fries? I have to have my large Diet Coke... my final decision was to just get enough to satisfy my cravings, so a single baconator and a large diet coke was on order. I scarfed it down in the Walmart parking lot and it did me some good, but not as much I thought. I felt some guilt as to eating it like I was hiding from someone to not show disappointment, heck I never even mentioned it to my wife, but there was no reason to feel guilty, as it was my cheat day. Thinking about it, just makes me giggle lol...
I stumbled on a new tool, I found a great program to keep track of my progress to use on my Android phone this week called JEFit. It allows you to keep your exercises, reps, weights, and measurements. The other bonus is you can set up a timer for in between sets and set for a different time for in between exercises. I actually came to a resolution to stop using my 30 GB iPod Video and now am using my Android phone for music and logging. Highly recommended!
