I still live...

Barely.  I kid.  I have had a rough few months but just got the go ahead from the doctor a few weeks ago to get back in the gym.  Feeling good to be back, but not without adding a few pounds from loosening up the diet.  Glad to be back.

C4W7D2 1/1/2013 Happy New Year!

First of all, happy new year to all!  As I mentioned before, I had a derailment in my challenge, but  my head is back on straight and will continue starting this week to finish the second half of the challenge.  To make a long story short, we suffered a miscarriage, which is never easy, but we are okay.  We have two beautiful children to be thankful for and who keep us on out feet.  The miscarriage I think effected me more than my wife.  I was excited about adding a third and everything closed in around me when I got the news.  Unfortunately, I was out of town on business when it happened and was disappointed that I could not be there immediately to support my wife.  We had my sons family birthday party and hosted Christmas so we have been extremely busy that I chose to let working out sit on the back burner, but tried to keep nutrition somewhat on par.  I wasn't 100% and I only got about 2-3 cardio/ lifting sessions total per week.  New years has come and gone and with some time off of work and focusing on the family the last few weeks has been good for my soul and rest for my body, but it is time to take the remainder of my challenge seriously.  I have struggled in dedication in my one year celebration challenge, but it's for life and you have to make it work.  Bumps happen and it surely doesn't have to stop or make you quit or feel as you failed.  Just pick up where you left off.
